The Cavan Monaghan Art and Craft Network was established in 1999 as part of the overall Craft Development Programme.
Its aims are to:
The Network will regularly review its performance, its objectives, its structures and programmes to meet the needs and requirements of its members.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Cavan Monaghan Art and Craft Network provides support and training services to artists and craft workers in counties Cavan and Monaghan, through art and craft fairs, exhibitions, membership to the Craft Council of Ireland, the circulation of a Newsletter and training programmes. The nature and ethos of the network is public and democratic. Concern for the good and welfare of all its members is a core value.

- Generate awareness of the variety and quality of arts and crafts in the regions
- Support equally all members of the Network, the amateur as well as the professional
- Encourage members to participate in training workshops
- Reduce the ‘isolation’ factor of the working artist
- Organisation of local craft fairs and events
- Provide information about relevant resources for members
- Support for group stand at the National Craft Fair
- Organisation of craft related training programmes
- Arranging of site visits to successful craft enterprises
- Develop retail opportunities for members, nationally as well as locally.
