Thomas O'Reilly Reimur Forged Crafts
Formerly from the royal county of Meath, fully qualified blacksmith and ironworker Thomas O’Reilly operates a forge and ironworks from near Castleblayney in his adopted County of Monaghan.
Surrounded by "the stony grey soil" of County Monaghan and overlooking the beautiful Sreenty lake, Thomas’s forge is ideally located for drawing inspiration for the wide and varied range of iron work items that he creates. Items such as ornate gates and railings, lamps, candle holders, beds, fire fenders, wine racks and much more.
Thomas welcomes special commissions and among some of the items created in the past include a piece called "Building Bridges" which was presented to President Mary McAleese and the "Jubilee Gate" at Farnham Estate in Cavan.
Visitors are always welcome to view Thomas at work practicing the age old craft of the blacksmith.
